Precautions for installation of self-priming pump

3. Place the unit on the foundation, place a pair of wedge pads between the base plate and the foundation, and align the pump level by adjusting the wedge pads. After adjustment, tighten the foundation bolts.
4. The suction and discharge pipes of the self-priming pump shall be equipped with supports, which cannot be supported by the pump. The diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes shall be consistent with that of the pump.
5. When installing the self-priming pump, the inlet pipe shall be connected first, and then the outlet pipe shall be connected after filling with liquid to correct the steering direction. The inlet pipe of the pump must be matched with the pump, and the total length cannot exceed 5m, otherwise it will affect the self-priming performance. The self-priming height can be calculated simply according to the formula on the right: the self-priming height of 3m / medium density = actual self-priming height when the water is clean.
6. After installation, finally rotate the pump coupling by hand to check whether there is friction and collision. If the rotation is easy and even, the installation is finished.
7. The self-priming magnetic pump is strictly prohibited to extract the medium with easily crystallized particles. It is not allowed to operate continuously when the discharge port is closed, and the minimum flow shall be maintained.
8. In order to prevent sundries from entering the self-priming pump, a filter shall be set at the inlet, and the filtering area shall be 3-4 times larger than the sectional area of the pipeline.
9. The self-priming pump with high lift shall also be equipped with a check valve on the outlet pipeline to prevent the damage of water hammer in case of sudden shutdown.
10. It must be ensured that the installation height of the self-priming pump conforms to the NPSH of the pump, and the pipeline loss and medium temperature shall be considered.
11. When the medium temperature is too high, cooling measures shall be taken for the mechanical seal to prevent deformation and cracking of the static ring.
12. When the medium viscosity is too high, the performance and power of self-priming pump will change.
